Tim RichardsTim works as an independent contractor and has particular experience in project management, strategy development, business planning and business case preparation, business process redesign, financial modelling, contract management and all outsourcing and tendering functions.

He has worked for clients in both the public and private sector. Tim previously worked for Deloitte from 2001-2008 after having spent three years working as a solicitor for one of New Zealand’s leading law firms and a commercial law firm in Australia.

Professional background

Starting my career in law in 1997 I spent 3 years with the law firm Rudd Watts & Stone (now Minter Ellison Rudd Watts) in Wellington specialising in tax and banking and finance.

In 2001 I joined Deloitte in the Growth solutions team and have provided a wide range of management consulting services to clients in both the public and private sector.

I left Deloitte in 2008 and currently operate as an independent contractor providing management consulting services.

Typical projects

All aspects of procurement and outsourcing advice for large corporates and the Public Sector. This includes identifying the outsourcing strategy, determining the current situation and developing practical solutions for the future. The development of business cases and project management are typical assignments that Tim has been involved in.
