|Phil Guerin is a management consultant and project manager with a practical results-focused approach. He is experienced in change management and the implementation of strategy. Phil takes a structured but innovative approach to business process design, capability development, efficiency review, business process improvement and alignment of operational practice to business strategy. Phil can act as a facilitator for strategic planning, particularly when fresh ideas and perspectives are needed.|
Phil is a PMP and a certified PRINCE2 practitioner with experience in project management and programme management and a solid track record of results. He came to management consulting from operations and finance management roles and has also worked in both sales and credit management, providing a unique range of perspective on businesses and service organisations.
Phil is experienced in project audit, project review, turnaround of stalled or flawed projects and in project initiation and business case development. Projects managed cover financial and human resources systems, HRIS, HRMIS, budgeting, order to pay, workflow, student management systems, CRM and business and property projects.
Phil has undertaken many projects in the Health sector and clients include Ministry of Health, ACC and DHBs. He has completed projects in Banking, Insurance, Publishing, Education, Transport and for a range of Public Sector clients. Phil can provide financial review and budget and cost control services to reduce costs with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness gains. Advice with scoping, procurement and project initiation is a speciality. He can also act as an independent evaluator, advisor or reviewer.
Phil is happy to act as an independent Project Board member. He can help provide advice on contracts, service level agreements, vendor management and sourcing of specialist IT expertise such as software architecture, testing, developers, process mapping etc. Phil is a registered Gateway reviewer.
