Professional background

Following business experience in financial and management accounting positions, and technical amd management roles in information technology, Ross Collins is a self-employed management consultant with more than 30 years of continuous experience as a management consultant in public practice.

For 10 years Ross was a partner in a small, independent consultancy where he was focused on strategic business and information technology planning and project management. Following the merger of this firm with a 'big five' international consulting firm, Ross was a partner responsible for a wide range of business and technology consulting assignments.

Since 1998 Ross has practiced on his own account, and has undertaken assignments for clients across both the public and private sectors, specialising in business and strategic planning, facilitation and change management roles.

Ross was elected National President of the Institute of Management Consultants, New Zealand from 1990 until 1993. He has represented the Institute at the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) and took a leading role in achieving full international reciprocity for management consultants qualified in New Zealand as Certified Management Consultants.
