Maurice ELLETT Maurice has over 40 years experience in executive recruitment most of which has been applied in executive search at the executive management level (CEOs, General Managers, Non-Executive Directors and executive level specialists). He has practiced throughout New Zealand from Auckland headquarters. His executive search assignments have embraced a variety of commercial organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors and position him as a leading professional in this sector. In addition to his specialisation in international executive search consulting he has advised in strategic human resources, strategy management and governance consulting. He served for five years as Financial Director of the global Signium International Inc. group.

Professional background

Maurice Ellett, Director of Signium Executive Search International Limited, has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Science, both from the University of Auckland, and a Master of Business Studies (Hons) in Strategic Management and Governance from Massey University. He is a Fellow Certified Management Consultant and his professional memberships include Institute of Directors, NZ Institute of Management, and the Institute of Management Consultants New Zealand Maurice has held a number of governance appointments in the not-for-profit sector. These include Rangitoto College (Trustee and Chairman of Finance Committee), Murrays Bay Primary School Board of Trustees (Chairman), Enterprise North Shore Trust (Trustee and Chairman), Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind (Chairman of Admin and Finance Committee, Deputy Board Chairman, member of Audit Committee, EDP Steering Committee and Industrial Division board). He has also been a member of the governing council of Ward Howell International Group (now Signium International) and the Asia Pacific Regional Director, as well as Joint Chief Executive. He was a Director of the Signium International Group Inc and was a Director of a start-up technology company.

Maurice has continuous executive recruitment experience since the beginning of 1970, the last 25 years of which have principally focused on executive search at the chief executive, general management and non-executive director levels across both public and private sectors
