Peter's recent consulting experience has been mainly in telecommunications, electricity industries, and Government departments. He is also experienced in the manufacturing and services sectors. His many organizational projects and ongoing personal development have ensured he has a sound understanding of the key best practices, behaviours and theories that contribute towards organisational success.
Peter's qualifications include: Engineering Degree (Honours), University College London; Advanced Management Course, Cambridge University; Systems Analyst for IBM UK; Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

|1. Member of a four-person team carrying out a full review of the organisation and governance structure of Telecom New Zealand for the Chief Executive. Recommendations for fundamentally new approaches were accepted by the Board. The same team managed the full implementation programme, including management approaches, IS/IT transformation, a new business planning system and a new policy framework. Results included major increases in growth, profit and share price (prior to global market decline). Subsequent projects have contributed to increased performance, eg: Media Review; Property Framework; IT Review; Supply Chain Management. |
2. Led a team of NZ Electricity Corporation (ECNZ) executives developing a new organisation structure. The report, accepted by the Board, combined several groups into a Corporate Office, and Marketing and Production business units into one generation company with shared support services. As Transition Manager, managed implementation of the new structure within budget and plan.
3. Senior Adviser on the Project Team for the Organisational Review of the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department. Reporting to the Minister of Revenue, this eight month fundamental review assessed all aspects of the tax administration including policy, operations and legislative requirements. Recommendations for a new policy process, adjudication, tax disputes resolution, a new organisation structure and a transition phase were accepted and implemented.
